Vince Hartnett

Vince Hartnett is president of Penske Logistics and senior vice president of administration for Penske Truck Leasing.

Hartnett's career began with the Hertz Corporation's rental car business in New York. Over a period of 10 years he held a number of positions, including New York zone operations manager and then assistant controller for the Rent-A-Car division.

In 1981, he was appointed to lead a new business for Hertz's Truck Leasing division, being named as director of consumer rental operations. In 1982, this business was acquired by Penske as part of a joint venture formed by Penske and Hertz.

In 1984, he was promoted to vice president of fleet and rental for the new venture. His role within Penske Truck Leasing expanded again in 1985, when he was promoted to senior vice president with responsibilities for truck rental, corporate real estate, fleet and procurement operations.

In January 1999, Hartnett was elevated to the role of president at Penske Logistics. Under his direction, Penske Logistics has grown substantially in terms of its scale, revenue and service offering.

Today, Penske Logistics is a top-ranked industry leader that operates in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, employs approximately 10,000 associates, and offers a robust portfolio of logistics solutions and services.

Hartnett graduated from Fordham University. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the Conference Board and the World Affairs Council.

He and his wife, Donna, have two daughters and they reside in Chester Springs, Pa.
