At this year's Automotive Logistics Conference – Mexico, Joe Carlier, senior vice president of global sales for Penske Logistics, discussed how new technology is revolutionizing the manufacturing process.
During the session, Digitisation and Innovation – the Mexico Factor, Carlier highlighted the tremendous amount of data available to shippers and 3PL providers and the importance of developing a strategy to harness it. And, while data analytics are currently more important to the 3PL provider than the shipper, he and other industry experts anticipate that in the future both will equally find value.

Joe Carlier is senior vice president of global sales, where he is responsible for global sales and business development for the company's offices located in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Before assuming his current role, Carlier was vice president of sales for Penske's Central region for six years. Carlier is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and a host of local and regional supply chain business affiliations.
