Dennis Abruzzi

Dennis Abruzzi is senior vice president of operations for the East region for Penske Logistics. He is responsible for revenue growth, operations, pretax earnings, safety compliance and customer relations in this geographic region of the U.S.

Abruzzi has spent nearly 35 years with Penske, and before assuming his current role in 1997, he was vice president for the East region. He was also vice president of operations for Leaseway Transportation for nearly 15 years, which Penske purchased in 1995. Before serving in various operational roles for Leaseway, Abruzzi was an over-the-road truck driver for five years.

He has earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in industrial relations from Wayne State University.

Among his honors: two-time selection to the Midwest Who’s Who list, four-time Penske Logistics President’s Award recipient and a three-time honoree to the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania Leaders in Industry list.

Abruzzi is a member of the United Way of Berks County’s Tocqueville Society, Kutztown Business Logistics Council and the DeSales University President’s Council.

He and his wife Eileen reside in Whitehall, Pa. They have five grown children.
