Tom McKenna
Senior Vice President of Logistics Engineering and Technology
Tom McKenna serves as senior vice president of engineering and technology for Penske Logistics. He leads a team of worldwide associates that develops innovative logistics and supply chain management solutions.
McKenna has worked in the third-party logistics field for more than 25 years. Starting as a project manager of decision support services, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of design and development and vice president of logistics engineering.
Prior to joining Penske, he held engineering positions in the research department of Bethlehem Steel Corporation (now Arcelor Mittal) and in its mathematical and systems analysis department, where he developed mathematical and computer-based models of energy flows through Bethlehem's integrated steel mills.
McKenna speaks frequently at regional, national and international logistics and supply chain management events in North America, Europe and South America. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at numerous colleges and universities, including Penn State and Ohio State.
McKenna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Hiram College and a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering, with a concentration in operations research from Purdue University.
McKenna is based at Penske's Logistics Technology, Engineering and Quality Center in Beachwood, Ohio. He resides in Hudson, Ohio, with his wife, Kelli, and has two grown sons.
