What Is Outbound Logistics?

Understand how Outbound Logistics fits into the supply chain

Outbound Logistics refers to the detailed plans focused on the shipping of final products or finished goods from a warehouse or distribution center to their final destinations. They are the demand side of a supply and demand model. Outbound logistics coordinate the supply chain process from the time a customer orders a product to the moment it is delivered to them or to a store.
