What Is Quality Control (QC)?

Understand how Quality Control fits into the supply chain

The term quality control is about ensuring and maintaining the quality of a product by conducting tests and guaranteeing specifications are met. Using technology and other tools to assess and monitor the quality of something helps to identify areas in need of improvement or attention. Quality can be reassessed until the desired quality is met, as the quality of a product or service is crucial to maintaining customer satisfaction and good business relationships. One way to control quality is by having fewer touchpoints within a process.
